I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science in connection with an experience extending over the past seven years.

Before my retirement I was employed in a factory making small electrical items, and part of my work was in developing new items used in the protection of electric wiring and equipment. After retirement, as an avocation, I started to do development work along these same lines. After a period of time I seemed to be getting nowhere.

For a great many years I had talked with a Christian Science practitioner for an hour at least once a month. When I mentioned this situation to my practitioner friend, a man with a long record of successful practice, he simply said, "Lay it aside." I had come to him for prayerful counsel; so without questioning why, I did no more such work. A while later I brought it up again, and again he said, "Lay it aside."
