For over thirty years I have been relying on Christian Science for help in my business, and this help has been manifold, in finance, in sales, and in labor conditions. Physical healings, too, have been many. In fact, for a number of years I have had only Christian Science help in solving these problems for my family as well as for myself. I would like to relate three outstanding healings that have been bulwarks for me to lean on through the years.

While working on a construction job during the winter, I slipped on the scaffold and landed on my shoulder on the frozen ground. The men around helped me to my car, and I was driven home knowing all the while, as we are taught in Christian Science, that there are no accidents in divine Mind. This happened on a Friday. By knowing this truth, and with the help of my wife, I was able to be at my post as First Reader on Sunday and back at work on Monday.

A few years later while I was riding horseback, my horse stumbled, and I was thrown heavily to the hard ground. My horse stayed by me; and when I was able to get up on my feet, I found that I could use only one arm and was in great pain in my ribs. By leaning on the horse with the one good arm I was able to get to my home, which was about a mile away. I was fortunate not to meet anyone on the way, so I did not have to explain error but only know its unreality for both the horse and myself.
