Christian Science came into my family through my grandmother
Christian Science came into my family through my grandmother. When my mother was an infant, she was healed through Christian Science treatment of a physical disorder.
My mother took my twin sister, brother, and me to Churches of Christ, Scientist, from the time we were of nursery age. We each experienced healings through Christian Science, including quick healings of so-called childhood diseases.
Upon reaching twelve years of age I joined The Mother Church in accordance with the provision in the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy. I joined a branch church around the age of fourteen. I am most grateful for the fact that I was taught very early how to practice Christian Science for myself and to think of others. As a teen-ager, I was happy to give examples of proofs of protection and healing by testifying at Wednesday evening meetings.
