That we have God-given dominion over ourselves, our health, and our welfare is made evident anew to the student of Christian Science every time he demonstrates God's law of dominion in his own experience. One opportunity to prove this dominion, which belongs to man as the child and reflection of God, came to me when I had a bad case of ivy poisoning.
Previous to its appearance on my body, I had paid little or no attention to the general belief in such poisoning but had seen a severe case of it, complicated by blood poisoning, in a member of my family and had held great fear for that person's welfare at the time.
