My heart is filled with gratitude for the many wonderful healings and blessings which have come to me through the study of Christian Science and for its demonstration in my daily affairs.
I am learning that one cannot slough off by ignoring them the little errors that clamor for attention, for these are the challenges that beset the Christian Scientist in his daily progress toward Truth, God. And if the challenge is not met the first time, the way thereafter becomes more difficult. This important truth was well illustrated in the following incident.
A small growth appeared on the lower lid of my left eye. Sporadic and unfruitful work in Science was done; year by year the growth became larger and more annoying and several times was the subject of remarks by well-meaning friends.
