Man Is Eternally Healthy

Students of Christian Science are learning to associate health with God and to understand that it is a quality of God, of divine Mind, not of matter. The nature of God includes health; therefore man, the expression of God, is eternally healthy. This understanding is leading students to demonstrate the nothingness of the opposite of health.

Christian Science teaches that we attain well-being through a spiritual understanding of health, through realizing that our true selfhood is the expression of God, Spirit. Mrs. Eddy writes, "Health is not a condition of matter, but of Mind; nor can the material senses bear reliable testimony on the subject of health."^{Science and Health, p. 120;} We must outgrow the supposition that matter and disease are real by accepting spiritual perfection as the only true heritage of man.

In Science man is neither physical nor organic; he is spiritual. As the emanation of God he is subject to Spirit's eternal laws of goodness, health, and harmony. Our true manhood appears in the measure that we reject the belief that we are mortal and material and accept the truth that our spiritual, identity is always at one with God and is subject only to divine law.
