"Where no fear was"
The Psalmist remarks of the workers of iniquity, "There were they in great fear, where no fear was." Ps. 53:5; Ferrar Fenton translates: "So they tremble where no fear exists." Christian Science offers effective remedy for fear, a great enemy of mankind.
How could fear have real existence when God is All-in-all? Men fear because of false belief in a power or a law other than that of God, good. The understanding of God as Love wipes out all phases of fear, from that of speaking in public to fear of being destroyed by an atomic bomb. Christian Science teaches that because of the infinitude of divine Love which fills all space and leaves no room for fear, we need not be afraid.
