The Path of Honesty

Julie dreaded the thought of going to school one day. She was going to have a test in math. She didn't feel at all sure about some of the things she knew the test would include.

Julie was a Christian Scientist, and she had learned that she should pray about anything that troubled her. She knew that to pray is to think correctly about a situation. She wondered just how she could start to think correctly about this one.

Then she remembered that her Sunday School teacher had asked her class to memorize two Bible verses as part of their Sunday School assignment. The pupils had been asked not only to memorize the verses but also to make an effort to apply them in their lives during the week. Julie opened her Bible to the place where she had put her assignment slip. Then she found the verses in Proverbs: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Prov. 3:5,
