"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good...
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven" (Matt. 5:16). When I left home to accept a teaching position, I met my first Christian Science family, who had experienced some outstanding healings. I had never been in a home where so much love and joy were expressed; and while there, I purchased my first copy of Science and Health. I consider this the most important event of my life. I am grateful for the early Bible study in our home, which prepared me for this key to the Scriptures.
I never doubted Christian Science. It answered all my questions and completely satisfied me, bringing much lasting joy into my life. I felt sure that the Christly method of healing was in that book, and my feeling proved to be true.
As my concept of man changed from the material to the spiritual, I realized that locality and climate could not affect health, and I was freed from frequent severe colds, enabling me to travel with freedom.
