About five years ago it seemed that never again would I have the normal use of my leg. Doctors said that the muscles had been permanently damaged during an operation to remove a blood clot. There was a large hole in my leg; and during long months medication was given daily, although no results could be discerned from it.
Finally, becoming wearied of this unfruitful journey, I threw out all medicines, dismissed all attending medical people with their fears, and turned wholeheartedly to Christian Science.
One afternoon I made a visit to a practitioner, who kindly and clearly gave me such a vivid insight into God and His reflection, man, that within twenty-four hours after treatment was begun the hole in my leg, which had defied healing by material means for nearly a year, had started to fill up. The practicality of Truth was demonstrated, evidence coming in a fashion that could not be mistaken. And within two weeks the flesh in the hole was level with the surface of the leg, and I discarded crutches which I had had to use.
