For years too numerous to mention I have rejoiced in the blessings of Christian Science. Its healing efficacy has been proved to me many times through the help of practitioners and my own study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

I want to express my gratitude for freedom from fear and for an unmistakable proof of divine Love's protecting power. This experience taught me that the spiritual truths one makes one's own in Christian Science are never lost, though much time may pass between the time we learn them and their application.

When I first visited a Christian Science practitioner, I was not acquainted with the Bible. The first thing I was asked to read was the ninety-first Psalm. These words (verse 1): "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty," were comforting, but their fuller meaning came to me when it was greatly needed years later as I was struggling with the fear of danger from robbers. I actually felt the presence of robbers when no robbers were to be seen or were even, at that time, at hand.
