One day after school, during and...
One day after school, during and after a playoff for the intramural touch football championship, I had the opportunity to prove the healing power of the truth that man is the spiritual image and likeness of God.
I was playing defense for our team, and it was my duty to rush through the other team's line and tag the ball carrier. During a play in the last quarter of the game the other team tried a running play around my end of the line. The ball carrier ran through the line, and I ran for him. We were both running at top speed when we crashed into each other, head on. I put my hands up to protect myself, and the index finger on my right hand was bent back and jammed.
I immediately declared the truth, knowing that I was actually God's perfect child and that there are no imperfections in His kingdom. As soon as I got home I opened Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy to page 115 and read the "Scientific Translation of Immortal Mind," which gives definitions of God, man, and idea.
