There is one avenue of expression which will relieve our frustration in an era of fear symbolized by the atomic bomb. From experience I know that this works, is of value, and is rewarding to us and to others. What I want to suggest is simply for each individual, all by himself, to concentrate on personal kindness.
Think of the day last week when you had an impulse, pure and simple, to tell a friend without flattery or sham how much you admired or liked him. But for fear of being thought sentimental, you held your tongue.
