Sometimes when we are obediently...
Sometimes when we are obediently doing our very best work in Christian Science, we have problems to solve. The first question often asked is, "Now why did this have to happen?" I had such an experience recently, and I saw that it was the means of my being blessed with an increased understanding of God's care.
I attended a Wednesday evening testimony meeting, and on my way home I sprained my ankle. The pain was great, and I sat right down on the curb and began affirming all the statements of truth I could think of. Most helpful was "the scientific statement of being," which is found on page 468 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and includes this sentence: "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all." After a little while I was able to make it slowly to my home.
The next morning my ankle was swollen, and I could not use it; so I called a practitioner. Through her work, and my cooperation, I had a complete healing within three days, and I have not suffered any further discomfort from the ankle.
