I shall always be deeply grateful that I had the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School from an early age. I am grateful that my mother was receptive when Christian Science was presented to her. She had been told by a doctor that she had very little hope of rearing me; but from the time she took up the study of Science I began to improve, and I have led a very active and healthy life.

We have had many healings in our family through radical reliance on Truth, among which are those of chicken pox, measles, boils, colds, lumbago, and tuberculosis of the skin. The latter healing of our son was a slow one because great fear had to be overcome and many lessons learned, and I shall never cease to be grateful to the dear practitioners who helped us at different times. This healing took place when our son was eight years of age and was proved to be complete when he passed a very strict medical examination at the age of eighteen in order to take up flying duties in the Fleet Air Arm.

The healing of measles has always been an inspiration to me. The doctor, whom we called in obedience to the law of our land, said our daughter had a temperature of one hundred and four and predicted a night of delirium. I reported this to the practitioner, who asked me to read Mrs. Eddy's hymn entitled "Christmas Morn" to the child and to explain it to her.
