Since my childhood Christian Science...
Since my childhood Christian Science has been the only religion I have known, and perhaps there have been times when I took it for granted because I did not realize the magnitude of its teachings. I used to wonder why even elderly people still referred to themselves as students. Now I know that it is because the Bible contains an unfolding, inexhaustible supply of good for us at every age as we study it.
I am grateful for having been first a pupil and then a teacher in the Christian Science Sunday School, where we learn that God, our Father-Mother Love, is ever-present good. We also learn how to understand the invisible things of Spirit and that law emanates from God, ever-operative divine Principle, who holds no mystery for us. Class instruction later strengthened this understanding for me.
It is always inspiring to be learning the truth that is so simple that the youngest child can grasp its meaning and so pure and spiritual that it can confound even mature materially-minded thinkers.
