On returning from my vacation...
On returning from my vacation one year I found that I had contracted oak poisoning, which presented itself in a very aggressive form. I turned wholeheartedly to God as we learn to do in Christian Science, and although the healing was not immediate, I was free in a week's time. During this period I was very grateful to have an opportunity to broaden my understanding of divine Science.
When I was almost free from the condition, our two-year-old son showed signs of having oak poisoning also, and it was evident that it was bothering him. My wife and I noticed this early one morning; so I spent the rest of the morning doing metaphysical work, prayerfully seeking the Christ, Truth, while my wife took our boy shopping with her. When they returned at noon my wife said that the boy had not been bothered at all for the remainder of the morning, and about an hour later we found that all the evidence of the condition had completely disappeared. God is indeed omnipotent and infinite Love.
There is great cause for joy throughout the world that the Christ, exemplified so perfectly by Jesus, our Master, has not been lost but is eternally with us, as Mrs. Eddy explains in the textbook, Science and Health.— Bruce W. Junker, Millbrae, California.
