Our Lectures Bring Enlightenment and Healing
In Belgium a car broke down directly in front of a large street poster advertising a Christian Science lecture. The driver had not heard of Christian Science before, but he decided to attend the lecture.
At the next Wednesday evening meeting of the local branch church, he testified that many questions which had troubled him for years were answered in the lecture. He said that the following morning he had purchased a copy of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and he held it up for everyone to see. Then he told of a healing his daughter had experienced as the result of his applying what he had heard at the lecture and had read in the textbook.
An Ohio church member writes of having invited a friend in a neighboring town to attend a lecture sponsored by her church. The friend had been troubled with rheumatism from her childhood days and was suffering from it the day and evening of the lecture. She managed to come, however, and was healed. Several months later she told the member that she had had no trace of rheumatism since the lecture.
