How grateful I am that I...

How grateful I am that I married a Christian Scientist! The happy, harmonious Christian family life which my beloved parents provided for me until my marriage paved the way for my acceptance of this practical, provable religion which goes the whole way in accepting the First Commandment (Ex. 20:3), "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." My husband and I have three healthy, happy children, none of whom has ever had medication for healing or for maintaining health.

At the births of these children I had Christian Science treatment. I went to a maternity home for Christian Scientists where no anesthetic or medical treatment of any kind was given. Despite the medical prognosis made earlier by three Navy physicians that any delivery would have to be by cesarean section, the birth of our first child was normal and harmonious.

This was my first demonstration of Christian Science. Subsequently I began a more earnest study of this Science, and shortly after the birth of our third child I became so aware of the need for a greater understanding of God and my relationship to Him that I took the glorious step of class instruction. What a feast of renewed inspiration each precious association day brings!
