Out of deep gratitude for many...
Out of deep gratitude for many blessings received through the application of Christian Science, I feel it is time to bear witness to an experience that has meant much to me for its simplicity and clarity.
One day, shortly after I was married, I was waiting on the street to keep a luncheon date with my husband. When he arrived he showed great difficulty in walking, was flushed and greatly afraid. He told me that he had gone into the woods beside our house to pick some wild flowers for me when something bit him three times on his head and face. He did not know what kind of animal it was, but it hissed and was extremely quick, disappearing immediately. He began to feel ill; but knowing that I was waiting for him, he made a great effort to come to me.
At this time he knew of Christian Science through me, but had never had any treatment through prayer for himself. It took me some twenty minutes to get him to a bed and alone, but I tried immediately to assure him that all was well and that he need have no fear because God was with us.
