Several years ago our son suffered a broken leg. At this time he was eight years old, and we were new to Christian Science.

The boy had been placed in a local hospital, and the outlook seemed very dark. The doctor informed us that if the leg did not respond to treatment, surgery would be necessary; and if he did not have surgery, he would be crippled for life.

The boy was left in the hospital for one week, without any improvement taking place. The morning that the doctor wanted to perform surgery, we decided to remove our son from the hospital and to rely entirely upon Christian Science.
