"Thy will be done"
"The will of God is the ... power which maintains the eternal order of the universe"
For centuries men have prayed "Thy will be done" (Matt. 6:10). At times in deep faith, in hope, and at other times in fear, and even in despair, they have done this. If they had accepted the truth declared by John, the beloved disciple of Jesus, that God is Love, they would have seen God's will as always good. But the mistaken concept of God as a God of anger, who loves, hates and punishes arbitrarily, has not been entirely forsaken.
