The God of Jacob (Ps. 146:5)
It was not unusual for the Hebrews to speak of their God as "the God of Jacob" or, alternatively, as "the God of Israel" (or of Abraham or of Isaac); thus stressing the fact that their worship of the true God went back to the time of their famous patriarchs.
