Tranquillity and Tranquilizers
"True calmness and peace of mind are won when we place our trust in Deity rather than in drugs"
Tranquillity is not gained through tablets, nor is peace of mind a product of drugs. Tranquilizing drugs and opiates may, according to belief, temporarily reduce agitation, or they may induce stupefaction of the senses; but their effect is in proportion to the degree of faith placed in them. Any such seeming effect is not true tranquillity.
