"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (Prov. 3:5, 6). This passage from the Bible has been a wonderful help to me in my study of Christian Science.

I knew nothing about Science until I met the man who became my husband, and who had attended a Christian Science Sunday School. About a year after we were married, I fell ill with influenza. We both felt that help of some kind must be obtained; so my husband, not wishing to force Christian Science upon me, asked me whether I wanted a doctor or a Christian Science practitioner. He had told me before about some fine healings he had witnessed in his home; so it seemed that the answer was there when he asked me. I said, "Call a practitioner."

Because of what appeared to us to be the seriousness of my condition the practitioner called at our home. So quick and complete was the healing that the next day we drove to my parents' home, a distance of some fifty miles, to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with them. I was also permanently healed at that time of constipation.
