It is with heartfelt gratitude to God that I testify to the beneficent influence that Christian Science has had on my life. I was introduced to it through a printed lecture in a newspaper. At that time I was under a doctor's care for Bright's disease and high blood pressure, and I was spending most of my time in bed.
After reading the lecture, I borrowed the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, from the public library and began reading and studying it. Although I did not understand all that I read, I knew it was the truth; and I felt that if I could understand it, it would heal me. So I persisted in my almost continual reading and studying. Gradually, sick headaches, from which I had suffered for fourteen years, disappeared entirely, never to return. The Bright's disease and high blood pressure were also healed through my own study and practice of Christian Science.
I have been healed too of influenza, colds, stiffness of the joints, swelling and inflammation of the ankles, a kidney infection, stoppage of the bowels, and of a nervous breakdown.
