While visiting friends in a distant...
While visiting friends in a distant city, I was invited to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting in a Christian Science church. Upon entering I felt the love expressed by the members and was greatly inspired by the reading from the desk and the testimonies of healing given by members of the congregation. I shall never cease to be grateful to my friends for this introduction to Christian Science.
After returning home, I started attending all the church services and paying daily visits to a Christian Science Reading Room. I commenced an earnest and deligent study of Science through the Bible, the textbook by Mrs. Eddy, Mrs. Eddy's other writings, and the Christian Science periodicals. This study brought about a spiritualization of my consciousness, and I soon realized that I was healed of extreme sensitiveness, which had resulted in a quick temper and poor disposition.
I was also completely healed of constipation, which had caused me great suffering for many years. I realized that as the image and likeness of God, man reflects the harmonious and perfect action of God, the one causative and creative Mind.
