We have had many healings in...
We have had many healings in our family; we came into Science through an aunt's healing of a double curvature of the spine, which she had had from birth, and through my mother's healing of valvular heart trouble.
I have had many healings and have been guided and guarded through sorrow, loss, and lack. I was immediately healed of a broken leg through an understanding of these beautiful words of Mrs. Eddy in "Unity of Good" (p. 46): "The scientific man and his Maker are here; and you would be none other than this man, if you would subordinate the fleshly perceptions to the spiritual sense and source of being."
The healing for which I am especially and humbly grateful is recent. I did not have the trouble diagnosed, so I do not know what it was; but I lost all my hair and could not walk and weighed only eighty-five pounds. Then one night, without causing me any pain, something in my abdomen broke through to the outside. The resulting condition did not clear up quickly, but by clinging steadfastly to the truth that God loves me, and through the love and patience of a faithful practitioner and of the nurses in a Christian Science nursing home, where I felt a great sense of security, I was healed.
