My mother, who had been a semi-invalid since childhood, had a remarkable healing in Christian Science. She continued her study of it, and when she was expecting me she had Christian Science treatment for herself and even for me before my birth. At the earliest possible age, I was enrolled in a Christian Science Sunday School, which it was my great privilege and joy to attend, being taught the truth from the Bible and from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy until I was twenty. This foundational work has blessed me all through my experience, and I am humbly grateful for it.

I have had many healings of all kinds—physical, mental, and financial—as well as protection on many occasions. The following healing was outstanding to me.

Some time ago a group of us were at the beach for swimming. I was resting. Then suddenly I felt myself being carried. I immediately said, "God is my Life," and repeated other statements of truth from Science and Health before I again lapsed into unconsciousness. It seems a baseball game was being played nearby, and a player, swinging at a ball, let go of the bat, which, traveling a good thirty feet over parked cars, struck me on the head.
