To those struggling with a physical...
To those struggling with a physical difficulty, I should like to say, "Don't become discouraged, for God is good and can never be separated from His reflection, man." A few years ago I suffered from a heart condition, sleeplessness, and intense nervousness, accompanied by great fear. This lasted for over a year. However, as I studied Christian Science and spiritualized my thinking and had help from practitioners at different times, the illness lessened until it vanished, and I was healed.
At the same time a growth appeared on my face. I held to the truth that no false sense of substance can adhere to man, God's idea; that man's substance is not material but spiritual, because he is the image of God, as the Bible tells us in Genesis (1:27). In Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 477), "Soul is the substance, Life, and intelligence of man, which is individualized, but not in matter." When I became no longer conscious of the growth, it began to lessen until it disappeared, leaving no spot.
