Sharing Our Textbook

Moved by the spirit of love, we find it natural to share with others whatever brings joy and enrichment to ourselves. In fact, there are things that actually increase in value as they are shared—ideas, for example.

Mary Baker Eddy made a spiritual discovery that proved to be of such value that she was divinely impelled to devote the better part of her life to sharing it with others. The presentation of what she discovered developed as she shared it. Proving its value as she went along, she was led to write a book in which she could present her priceless discovery, which she termed Christian Science.

Apart from the Bible, no book of greater importance to mankind has ever been published. This book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures"—the textbook of Christian Science—is bringing to the world a spiritual interpretation of the Bible that is giving new impetus to religious thought; and its spiritualizing influence is gradually increasing. It was, of course, never designed to take the place of the Bible. On the contrary, Science and Health enables all who read it with an open mind to understand the Bible, to love Scriptural promises and demands, and to enjoy the results of these in harmonious lives.
