There Is No Last Number

Five-year-old Nancy had been learning her numbers and loved to see how far she could count. One day she counted far beyond one hundred and was beginning to think that there was no end to counting. She knew that after the hundreds came thousands, but she said to her mother, "What comes after thousands?"

"Millions," her mother replied.

"And what comes after millions?" Nancy asked.
