Christian Science has indeed been to me the Comforter promised by Jesus, who said, "I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever" (John 14:16).
At one time I was impelled for five consecutive mornings to declare with conviction that no sensuous, evil thought could prevent my seeing Truth clearly.
When I returned home the night of the fifth day and was closing the garage door, I was attacked from behind and was thrown down upon a cement pavement.
