I had been married only a few months when my husband, who is a Christian Scientist, had an alarming case of blood poisoning. I knew very little of his religion, and it seemed to me that nothing was being done since a physician was not called, so I became fearful.

One night when things looked desperate my husband telephoned his parents, who were thousands of miles away. They got in touch with a Christian Science practitioner, and the next morning every manifestation of the poisoning was gone and the healing complete. It brought my mother, father, two brothers, and a sister-in-law, as well as myself, into the study of Christian Science. Four of us became members of the Church of Christ, Scientist.

I have witnessed and experienced many healings since that time. A nephew, who made his home with us, was healed of a severe illness. An arm and a leg that were paralyzed were restored to their normal state within a week. This lad, sixteen years old at the time, won a one-mile race soon after.
