Several years ago I had a nervous breakdown. I had put my furniture in storage and was staying a while with my son and his family in another city. Six weeks later, while attending a Sunday morning service in a Church of Christ, Scientist, I was healed. Then I was ready to return to the city in which I had lived, but I had no home to go to.
However, I did have my copy of Science and Health; so I turned to it for guidance and encouragement with the result that I found a home waiting for me the second day after I returned to the city. This home was with friends who had begun to study Christian Science. We were all blessed by our association with each other.
In "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" by Mrs. Eddy there is a passage which proved of inestimable help to me. It reads (pp.149,150), "Remember, thou canst be brought into no condition, be it ever so severe, where Love has not been before thee and where its tender lesson is not awaiting thee."
