Because I have had the great benefit of being reared in Christian Science, it is hard for me to imagine what I would have done or where I would have been without it. Certainly I have been in many discordant situations, physical and mental, that this Science has healed more efficaciously and beneficially than any material means could have done. On looking back I cannot help realizing how much health and happiness I owe to it, and how very much the presence and power of good have been operating increasingly in my experience. For my foundational instruction in the Sunday School, therefore, I am profoundly grateful.

For a few years, while at school, I suffered from boils; but when I turned in earnest to Christian Science and sought the aid of a practitioner, they vanished from my experience within a week or so. An undiagnosed but serious chest condition was corrected as my understanding of Science and my ability to apply it increased over two or three months. Other disorders, such as influenza, eyestrain, and a wrenched back, have been quickly healed. The back injury was healed in about half an hour.

A growing realization that Mind, man's Father-Mother God, maintains complete and harmonious consciousness has helped me inestimably in working with others, particularly in my profession of teaching.
