I began the study of Christian Science because of a stomach ailment which defied medical treatment. My healing in Science was complete but slow, because there was much error in my thinking that needed to be eradicated.

"And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was" (John 17: 5). The inspiration from this verse from the Bible resulted in a healing of fear of being alone. From childhood, I had had such a fear, and during later years I was very much afraid of being alone at night. It had not occurred to me to work out the problem in Science until I was left without companionship. I called a Christian Science practitioner, and she quoted the above verse from the Scriptures during our conversation. My healing of fear was instantaneous.
