I give thanks to God for the many blessings I have received from the study and application of Christian Science. I have depended on it for more than thirty years.

The first healing I had was that of an infected finger. The chief clerk in my office wanted me to go to the company doctor, but I begged off. My sister, who had been a student of Science for several years and with whom I was living at the time, worked prayerfully for me for a number of days. When there seemed no improvement, she advised me to go to a Christian Science practitioner. In the practitioner's office the pain was so great that I sat and wept for almost a half hour, and then relief was obtained. In two more days there was much improvement. I am grateful to say I was able to go to work and do all the typing I needed to do during the experience. Complete healing soon followed.

Not long after this I was married, and at my husband's urging I tried to return to complete dependence on medical means. But the study I had put in while I was living with my sister made such a thing impossible. When our daughter was five months old she was instantaneously healed through Christian Science of a cough for which I had been taking her to the doctor since her birth. This healing was brought about through the work of a practitioner after I had released the doctor.
