Christian Science came into my life in answer to earnest prayer for a higher concept of God than the one I had been given as a child, for this one did not measure up to what I wanted to teach my young children. For over forty years Christian Science has been to me what Christ Jesus promised it would be the Comforter. Through the study of this Science, it has become dear to me that man is not a sinner but the spiritual child of God. It has put a new face on creation for me and has given a more worthy incentive to live in accord with the teachings of the Master.

From the time I took up this study, I prayed earnestly to find God; and He has answered my prayers, for I have experienced healings of many fleshly ills, including those of migraine, nervous disorders, and broken bones. Faults of character have been corrected, and now, at an advanced age, I am enjoying greatly improved eyesight and am able to sew, to thread a fine needle, and to read without glasses, which for thirty-five years I had worn constantly.

Through complete reliance on God, I have been provided with protection during times of stress and loss, and I have been given courage and strength to carry on under severe trials. Spiritual understanding has given me great peace, which has taken the place of anxiety and fear. My family has been blessed too by Christian Science; heart trouble, bad habits, and other evils have vanished, and business difficulties have been solved.
