For many years I suffered from a swelling of one ankle, the result of faulty circulation. A Christian Science practitioner worked prayerfully for me, and the ankle was healed. During the time the practitioner was giving me help for this condition, I put aside glasses which I had needed for reading for several years, and I have not needed them since. A helpful practice was to watch that I was not criticizing others and to know that I had the capacity to see everyone and everything aright.

Another healing about this time was that of a form of paralysis, both of my legs and arms being completely immovable. When this condition occurred, I knew that it could be met through Christian Science. I prayed to know God as All-in-all and as the only power. Realizing His nearness, I was free from fear, and I have never felt so protected and so close to Him. The second verse of Hymn No. 123 in the Christian Science Hymnal came to me,
