It is with sincere gratitude that I acknowledge the healing power of God, as demonstrated by our Master, Christ Jesus, and now explained by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy.

Many years ago, when quite new in the study of Christian Science, I caught my left hand in an electric wringer. I cried out to God for help, and soon I was able to find the switch and turn off the motor. As I drew my hand from the wringer it appeared very distorted.

I was the only one in the household interested in Christian Science; so I sat on the basement steps and covered my hand with my apron. I repeated silently several times "the scientific statement of being" given on page 468 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. The words, "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all," were particularly helpful. Shortly I was able to continue my work. Later I had a practitioner help me, and the hand healed without scars or broken skin.

I am very grateful for the overcoming of lack, fear of travel, and false traits of character. Daily study of our Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly is a beautiful way to start our days.
