"THE LORD OF HOSTS HATH PURPOSED"
(Isaiah 14:27)
Let no man with a burdened heart
Wait vainly by the mounting road;
Let him not bow, with weeping,
Beneath an earthly load.
Bid him arise in freedom sure.
The Christ has made his way secure.
Man does not by himself go forth;
He cannot wander all alone,
Since omnipresent Love is here
To part the bramble, lift the stone,
To mark the upward path and guide.
Love journeys ever by his side.
God has purposed this, and man
In His blessed presence all the way
May claim and know his heritage
Of peace and happiness today.
"The Lord of hosts hath purposed," and
Man does unfettered, joyous, stand.
