Here is the remedy for pride and prejudice: the truth that each of God's ideas expresses Him as the one cause

NO SUPERIORITY OR INFERIORITY

"God is one. The allness of Deity is His oneness." So writes our inspired Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in her great work, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 267). This oneness of God excludes all belief in a twofold creation. It explains man as one with God in the indissoluble relationship of cause and effect and establishes the wholeness and allness of Deity.

Christian Science teaches us the unfailing remedy for the false human beliefs of superiority and inferiority, with their attendant pride, passion, hatred, and prejudice. It shows that such beliefs stem from the erroneous doctrines of minds many, of human birth, of a personal existence apart from Deity. But God, Love, being One and All, there is nothing in Love's universe which is superior or inferior. One may easily see that God, Love, is universal and all–inclusive, and that His ideas, reflecting Him, all express the same Love.

In the Bible we learn of the true relationship of God and man. We read (Gen. 1:27), "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." There being only one God, there is only one creator and one creation, the perfect, Godlike, spiritual man, who expresses Him in infinite individuality. The only place in which we can find the false beliefs of superiority, pride, prejudice, hatred, and the like is in the mortal or carnal mind, which Paul says is "enmity against God" (Rom. 8:7). But what of this so–called carnal or mortal mind? Since God, divine Mind, is All, the carnal mind is nothing—no mind. How, then, can "no mind," or ignorance, tell us anything, type it, color it, or classify it? It cannot. It is a nonentity, a counterfeit simulating the one true Mind, God.
