About sixteen years ago, when I was in a very inharmonious condition, I heard for the first time of the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science. As I was un employed at the time and also ill, fear regarding the uncertainty of my future often tried to overwhelm me. Through earnest study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy I learned something of this teaching and began to see what true freedom is.

After a short time I was completely healed of rheumatism and found a position, which I am still holding. A few years later I was healed of heart disease which had held me in bondage since I was fifteen, and my parents were relieved of great anxiety. I am filled with sincere gratitude for the omnipotent love of our Father-Mother God, which He bestows so abundantly upon all His children.

During the last years of the war with the numerous air raids, which often caught me unawares on my daily business trips or while I was waiting at railway stations, the understanding of the truth I had gained often proved to be an ark of safety.
