Over a period of twenty–five years the truth as taught by Mary Baker Eddy has never failed me when it has been correctly and expectantly applied; and each unfoldment has enriched, enlightened, and blessed not only myself, but those in my household as well. I have been healed of extreme lack, loneliness and fear, unloving and unattractive traits of character, faultfinding, and resentment; also of goiter, fistula, hemorrhoids, abscessed teeth, and many other ills. I have seen croup, acute appendicitis, severe burns, defective eyesight, broken bones, sprains, and unattractive tendencies of disposition permanently healed in my immediate family. Many of these healings have brought other healings with them, and they have always brought renewed faith, hope, and joy to all concerned.

An experience which I wish to share has opened my consciousness to a higher and broader understanding of the ever–presence and power of God. In cleaning the stairs to the basement, I was suddenly thrown from a height of about five feet to the cement floor, with all my weight on my right shoulder. I could feel a crunching of bones, and my breath was shut off, which tempted me to lose consciousness. I did not consent to this suggestion, however, and in a voice I could not recognize as my own, I repeated over and over, "God is my Life." Although the pain was intense, I managed to get to my knees and crawl up two flights of stairs to the second floor, declaring all the way that God is my Life. As I progressed, I found that I could walk the last few steps and was breathing somewhat easier.

I called a practitioner as soon as I could. She said she was unable to come to me at that time and asked whether I could come to her. My right shoulder and arm seemed useless, my body was in a twisted position, and I could move only with great pain. But wishing to be obedient, I agreed to make the effort, and I drove my car about a mile to the home of this good friend, who lovingly helped me through this experience.
