In the year 1911, I suffered from what is called catarrhal pneumonia and bronchitis, which developed into asthma. I tried many material remedies without any lasting results. Finally our family doctor advised me to go to a warm climate. I went to California, but the climate did not help me. Then Christian Science was offered to me, and I was immediately helped and in a short time permanently healed. Since then I have had an instantaneous healing of a heart attack.

At one time I had a severe attack of arthritis. The healing did not come quickly, but through constant study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's works, knowing that the truth contained in these books had healed me before and that I had been able to heal others by applying them, I became free and active again.

In "The People's Idea of God" Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 8), "Mind, that governs the universe, governs every action of the body as directly as it moves a planet and controls the muscles of the arm;" and in "Unity of Good" (p. 7) she writes that "an acknowledgment of the perfection of the infinite Unseen confers a power nothing else can." These quotations were very helpful to me.
