"TEACH US TO PRAY"

"Lord , teach us to pray"
In gracious, wordless ways—
Glad lives expressing every day
All that our eager lips would say
In gratitude and praise.

"Lord, teach us to pray"
With selfless, gentle art,
Smoothing another's burdened way,
With helping hand and courage gay
To ease some aching heart.

"Lord, teach us to pray,"
Through deeds of tenderness
To touch in Love's own healing way
Each smarting wound, that all may say,
"God's love is here to bless."

"Lord, teach us to pray"
With hands that freely share
Thy blessings on the climbing way
Of all who touch our lives today.
Lord, teach us this is prayer.
