Fourteen years ago I was introduced to Christian Science through reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. My wife had been attending church services and lectures for some time and had expressed the desire to have her own copy of the textbook. I purchased a copy for her as a gift, and my curiosity having been aroused as to the contents of the book, I started to read it.

At once I recognized that here was the final revelation of Truth. Through reading the textbook and attending services in a branch church regularly and lectures as often as I could, I was quickly healed of a nervous condition of over three years' standing. This condition had baffled the efforts of skilled and conscientious physicians. After I was safely established in the study of Christian Science, I was informed by my wife that one physician had recommended that I try Christian Science for healing, as there was no hope for me through materia medica.

Needless to say I am grateful for this healing, but I am more grateful for the fuller understanding of God and of man as God's image, or reflection, which I have gained through the study of Christian Science.
