Signs of the Times
Happiness for All
The Rev. E. S. Comstock in an article in the Lebanon Express, Oregon
In III John, the second verse, we read, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and he in health, even as thy soul prospereth."
Spiritual health and physical health are very closely related. One hour of fretting will wear out more vitality than a week of work; one minute of malignity or raging jealousy or envy will hurt more than a drink of poison. We do not wonder that some people have poor health when we hear them talk for a half hour. They have enough dislikes, prejudices, doubts, and fears to exhaust the strongest constitution. Friends, if you want to keep peace of mind and enjoy God's life and strength, keep out the things which kill it.
