"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Prov. 22:6). I am grateful to testify to the truth of this statement. It was my privilege to attend the Christian Science Sunday School for twelve years. For some time after leaving there, however, I made little use of the knowledge of Truth that this had brought to me. There came a time, though, when I was forced to realize that this deviation was bringing only discord, both physical and mental. It was then necessary for me to start the long and sometimes exacting journey back to the Father's house.

Words can never express my gratitude to God for the many lessons learned, for the patient help of a practitioner, and for the blessings that have come to me. I have been healed of influenza, grippe, blood poisoning, a dislocated shoulder, torn ligaments, and neuritis. For release from the tobacco habit and for the solving of business problems I am most grateful.

The privilege of class instruction has been a constant source of inspiration. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her consecration to Truth, for her courage, and for her love for all mankind, which enabled her to give us the textbook.
